Can't Pray that Psalm

I don't know about you but I can't pray this Psalm, at least this verse, honestly:

"Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity,
And I have trusted in the Lord without wavering..." Ps. 26:1

Without wavering, C'mon!

However, when I look a few verses later I find that I can pray this:

"...Redeem me, and be gracious to me." 26:11b

The spirit of prayer among God's people comes and goes doesn't it?. Many times in myself I can struggle to pray. I'm not sure why I ever would not want to bring my life to the Lord... but it does happen. A lot of times I just assume I know how to pray, which I don't and will always be learning. So, if you would like a very humble refresher on prayer ... here it is. Psalm 25:1-11

1. THROW YOUR WHOLE SELF INTO IT: Bring your whole self to the Lord. No such thing as dogging it with the Lord. Gotta have your soul in it! If music, theater, drama, work, sports, study and everything else takes all of your sould... so would prayer.

2. FAITH: You've gotta believe that the Lord will show up. If you put your whole self into it... God will respond. His promises are only tapped into by our faith.

3. WANT HIS WAYS: If you are going to God trying to sidestep pain, suffering, discipline, obedience and His ways... don't even begin. His footsteps, ways and your yeilding, submission and weakness.

4. DESIRE HIS TRUTH: Long in your heart for things to be stable, right and holy. Allow Him to transform your deciet to truth. The power is in His truth. The guidence is written on your heart, the scriptures and inside of every prevailing prayer is TRUTH and a desire to have it preside over anything else.

5. DESIRE GOD'S GLORY AND HONOR: Plead that the Lord would be seen and honored by all in the earthly situations. God's character is what our fallen world needs. His glory bleeding through your prayer life will give you great joy... this is a wonderful taste of his mercy and grace.

6. PATIENCE: We must become accustom to his timing and perfect word. The virtue is waiting upon Him... the Lord works mysteriously and without you knowing...patience is trust and giving up your control.

7. CONFESSION: Stop hiding behind any B.S. the Lord wants no glossing or flossing of a hard heart. He won't be mocked or made a fool of... we must give up our stuff before Him so that He can clean our lives.

The Lord satisfies doesn't he? He has plenty to deliver to us when we begin to pray. What are you praying about these days?

So I heard.....
