Gospel Effects

"Those who were weak are now strong; those who were unaware of God’s love are now grasped by it; those who were sinners are now accounted such no longer; those who were unrighteous are now righteous; those facing wrath are now rescued from it; those who were enemies are now reconciled and, once more, rescued." NT Wright

I appreciate many of the great insights of NT Wright, but there is what I see to be poison mixed in with the truth when it comes to the NP. So I would be careful in quoting from any book on the NP without giving warnings to your readers concerning it. Justification for the believer is not a present reality in NP but a future declaration by God declared at the end of the age. We must guard the good news that God is for us now and this status cannot be increased or decreased both now and in the future. Love ya and love the quote but am deeply grieved over NT Wright's backing of NP.
